Title: FS: Canon IPF8300 44" Large format Printer $725.
Post by: Photopro888 on June 14, 2018, 02:39:49 pm
The printer is in good working condition. it needs a print head (about $400.) for the right side. Also, it will occasionally show an error on the screen (2F48) when you  power it back on all is good. The matte black ink is now "low" I have had ink (in this state) last from 1 to 4 months.

the paper catch is still new in the box.
the printer can be moved from its current spot without tilting it (can keep it level) (only down 2 small steps to get it outside)

FYI, the IPF8300 is a great printer for creating both fibre (Baryta, fine art paper, etc.) and Canvas based prints.   I owned one for a number of years and it was a great workhorse.  I only moved on so that I could also print direct to Aluminum.

My 2 cents worth ...

Photographist I agree... I do have the Pro-4000 now and it's working great! but the 8300 is a better built printer, not sure if it's because it was made in Japan and the Pro-4000 was made in Thailand but it just feels better built. If I had the room I would keep it!
