Title: From Kodak to iPhonography
Post by: athegn on June 02, 2018, 10:17:55 am
Have I misread this:-

"Box film camera introduced to the public in 1990"

I had to re-read the article twice to make sure that I had not misunderstood.  In the age of 100MP cameras it seems that the need to focus on detail is still paramount.

Also I don't think that picture of the horse and groom was Niepice's first, which was out of a window... The one shown looks like a drawing and certainly wasn't taken over 7 hours...

I think the author made a slight typo as the date of the first Kodak Brownie Box camera introduced was 1900.  I have asked for a new graphic.

And here is the correct photograph.  This is a poor article in my opinion and unworthy of LuLa.

Thanks, David... we'll replace the image.  Thought we'd try something different when this was sent to us.

I don't think the article was unworthy - I found it quite interesting, but it could have benefited from a proof read.

Other errors too... the supposed discovery of the camera obscura is off by one century.
