Title: Prints for high humidity
Post by: Ryan Mack on May 12, 2018, 12:19:40 pm
A client is buying a print to hang in the bathroom where his 3 kids shower. What’s the best option to protect against humidity and condensation? I’m used to using timeless varnish on canvas and hahnemuhle protective spray on RC papers (I’d probably default to hahnemuhle photo silk baryta). What would you recommend?

You might see if lamination works OK re your desired image quality.  ColorPlak does a nice job:

This article https://aprettyfix.com/weather-proof-indoor-art-outdoor-use/ recommends a couple of products including Mod Podge Clear Acrylic Sealer for the canvas and Krylon Polyurethane Spray Sealer for the wood frame. Anyone have any experience with those?
