Title: Camera for Senior
Post by: Postman5 on May 04, 2018, 09:31:18 pm
Hi! I hope someone can help me. I have a friend who is 89 years old and wants to have a camera to take pictures. He has a long history with photography but hasn't done a lot since a stroke a number of years ago. It would need to be an automatic digital camera with easy-to-read buttons and limited options. It would need image stabilization and a lens that covers a large range of focal lengths. The idea is that he can take pictures out the window of his assisted-living facility and have someone take the memory card to get the images made into prints. Does such a camera exist?

Panasonic Lumix FZ2500 might be ideal camera for him.
Small, good image quality, 24-480 mm F2.8-4.5 zoom lens, optical image stabilization, Wifi, good video, price under $1000, used for significantly less.
Sony RX10iii or iv have similar specs, but are more expensive.
