Title: Woman in red
Post by: LesPalenik on April 22, 2018, 11:57:44 pm
Little bit of cold landscape, with an element of glamour. Not composited!
Which crop is more appealing?

The first one, for me.
The horizontal format has room in the direction the flying cape is pointing and completes the snow forms.

Thank you, Eric, that's a good point.

First for me too and for the same reasons Eric wrote above.

Thank you very much for your suggestion, Slobodan and Dave

Too bad I don't have a model release from her.
It was not a staged shoot, I was photographing the ice formations and details on that ice hill, when the girl walked in. I took 3 quick snaps of her, this one being the only useable.
The flying cape was pure luck, she lifted it from her shoulders just as she walked through the gap between the ice blocks.

Since she's not really recognizable, I think you're okay with using this.  Just my non-lawyer opinion.

Agree on Slobodan's magazine cover comment, but I'd like to see the landscape version with about half as much headroom.
