Title: photography backdrop grey or black...where to get? Resommendations?
Post by: haring on April 20, 2018, 04:46:34 am
Hey guys!
I am looking for a set of backdrop, grey or black. Where do you get backdrops nowadays? I know it is not too trendy nowadays... Recommendations?

How big do you need it to be and how much do you want to spend ?

A good innexpensive  (https://savageuniversal.com/)roll paper background can be bought online from the usual vendors. (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/45483-REG/Savage_27_12_107_x_12yds_Background.html)

If cost is not a concern then a hand painted backdrop (https://www.facebook.com/pg/gravitybackdrops/photos/?tab=photos_albums)is another option.

Joe Edelman has some informative videos on backgrounds. Gray is the most versatile: https://www.youtube.com/user/PhotoJoeEdelman/search?query=backdrop

Savage is his brand of choice for backgrounds, but he also likes velour: https://youtu.be/9VsP4T9AFp4

Gray. You can almost always go near black, based on how you light, or light gray. (Same with white going gray.) With Black, unless you have a specific need, you’ll always have, well, Black
