Title: ipf8400 ink marks on back of prints
Post by: gchappel on April 16, 2018, 11:28:26 pm
I am printing on the ipf8400.
I am just starting to see what looks like black ink marks on the back of cut sheet papers.
Mark is along the rear right edge of the paper- looks like a 2mm smudge about 1 cm from the long edge.
Nothing externally dirty.   Printed side looks fine.
Any thoughts- where to go next.
Google was no help.
Thanks
Gary

Yes, I get this on the 6300 with non-Canon roll paper due to the vacuum being set a little high.

Check the little "wells" in front of the rollers, where excess ink is dumped by the print heads. You can wipe it up with tissue paper and that should fix the problem.
