Title: "Develop" Presets, no consistent logic?

re: Windows XP version Beta 4
Need a detailed explanation of the “Tone Curve” Presets. Their name and application seems inconsistent, no logic. For example: Use Zero’d as a start point. This seems to work fine. All controls set to zero, a good starting point to learn the effect of each control.

Now apply: Tone Curve - Lightroom Default
Changes from Zero:
Exposure = Yes
Recovery = Yes
Blacks = Yes
Brightness = No
Contrast = Yes
Vibrance = Yes
Saturation = Yes
Tone Curve = Yes, Linear to Medium
Sharpen = No
Smooth = No
De=noise = No

Back to Zero’d, then apply: Tone Curve - Linear Contrast
Changes from Zero:
Exposure = No
Recovery = No
Blacks = Yes, Zero to 5
Brightness = No
Contrast = No
Vibrance = No
Saturation = No
Tone Curve = No, remains Linear
Sharpen = Yes, 0 to 25
Smooth = No
De=noise = Yes 0 to 25

Back to Zero’d, then apply: Tone Curve - Medium Contrast
Changes from Zero:
Exposure = No
Recovery = No
Blacks = No
Brightness = No
Contrast = No
Vibrance = No
Saturation = No
Tone Curve = Yes, graphic curve changes but label remains Linear
Sharpen = No, remains 0
Smooth = No, remains 0
De=noise = No, remains 0

Back to Zero’d, then apply: Tone Curve - Strong Contrast
Changes from Zero:
Exposure = No
Recovery = No
Blacks = No
Brightness = No
Contrast = No
Vibrance = No
Saturation = No
Tone Curve = Yes, graphic curve changes but label remains Linear
Sharpen = No, remains 0
Smooth = No, remains 0
De=noise = No, remains 0

If you compare the above, you see no consistent logic. And Tone curve label does not match change in graphical curve.

Posted to Adobe......
They, in effect, said: The Presets are screwed up, don't take them seriously.

btw.. There is a cottage industry building custom presets.
