The third would surely get the MR seal of approval who mentioned that the dominant colors in Iceland were green and black.
Personally i like the fourth one very much. Very less-is-more minimalism in that one. (Where as the second seems to lack subject, or doesn't quite hit that optimal compositional balance, even though it certainly is sketch-like).

I love the simplicity of #2, Rajan; for me, it's by far the best of a fine set.

It's the second one for me too, which I think is quite simply a stunner and is head and shoulders above the rest of what is a really good bunch of images.
...but I'll bet it will be a nightmare to print successfully, but none the less a cracker and well worth hanging on the wall if it does come out OK.

Bravo, very nicely done. You have resisted the temptation to over-process, as many here do all the time, and have left your photos looking like - well - reality. These photos bring back memories of my travels in Iceland! If you are interested, here are some of my Iceland photos:

Dave - yes, it is going to be tricky printing it and will take a few iterations to get it right. I intend to make an attempt this coming week.
Peter - Enjoyed your Iceland photos. Although on my 32" 4K monitor they seem to lack resolution, most likely because they are scaling up from a smaller size.

Quite frankly, I like them all Rajan. How do you deal with all white subjects, and/or exposures? Do you add a stop or allow the auto-exposure to operate? I am curious because, despite the known rule that you should overexpose to retain white, I seldom do, preferring to brighten the subjects and retain some texture.

Hello John,
If shooting from the tripod, positve exposure compensation with Live View + histogram allows for correct exposure. If shooting quickly through the viewfinder, typically around 1.5 stops of positive exposure compensation gets you in the vicinity. As you point out, these days it is easy to push exposure in post-processing and if you have a body with one of the Sony sensors, there is virtually no loss in image quality.
