I may be in the wrong site, however, I may get an answer to my question which has been ongoing.
Re: Instagram and uploading images to such. I am seeking "how" one downloads images from one's computer to Instagram---not using the iPhone. I am not using my iPhone to download images. My intention is to download images from my computer to Instagram. How is that done?
Simple question but I have not gotten an answer to this question.
A nerd here---thank you. Raymond

Simple answer: not possible.

Soloban,
Thank you for your response. Next question: It is my understanding that one could download images from the computer to the iPhone---if that is correct, then how is that done. Raymond

My computer is iMac and I have an iPhone, so, in addition to emailing it to myself, I can simply use the AirDrop (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204144) feature on both, if close to each other (Bluetooth range).

There is an app by the name of "Grids" by Think Time Creations if I'm not mistaken. Don't know if they have a Windows version but they do have a Mac version and you can upload pictures to Instagram right from your Mac desktop. I use it and there are no issues with it.

@bwalker: Use LRInstagram. It's a shareware plugin (just Google it) that runs as a Publish service. Has worked flawlessly for me for 3+ years. A bonus is that it adds two metadata fields you can use to populate your caption and hashtags. Add a metadata template to that and your hashtag druggery days are over.

Lol man, that's very easy. You enter the Instagram in your browser then click (with the right part of the mouse) on the image that you want to download and find there "save as...". That's all. I did that so many times, especially when I wanted to create an album with my favorite types of photoshoots and models poses so that I will have the opportunity to repeat them on my pics. This helps me a lot in my profession and this way I gain more experience. But I have recently noticed that I don't have enough followers on my account and now I want to buy instagram views (https://famoid.com/buy-instagram-video-views/).

Lol, man.... that definitely does not work like that.
Besides, you misunderstood the OP question: he wants to upload his images from his computer to IG. And yes, I am aware that he chose the wrong word in the title of the thread, but it is clear from his post what he wanted.

I have been told, although I've not verified it, that if you enable the Develop menu in Safari and choose iPhone from the User agent submenu, IG will think that your Mac is an iPhone and let you upload images.
Jeremy
PS: apparently, LR Instagram no longer works: see here (https://havecamerawilltravel.com/lightroom/instagram-publish-service-lrinstagram/). At present, lrinstagram.com is not responding.

I did not try it with Safari, but it works with Chrome by selecting Developer Tools. I detailed the steps in some other thread, if I remember correctly. Not sure about full functionality either.

It’s possible if you have an android emulator such as BlueStacks on your PC. this emulator is the most popular, and it’s widely used by SMM specialists and other people who need to have an extended interaction with social media not limited by their phone’s possibilities.
It might be of great help for developing your Instagram account because you can upload more qualitative pictures and attack more followers to your page this way. I also suggest using famoid.com (https://famoid.com/buy-instagram-followers/) to get more real followers to your account and make it look more reliable for newcomers.

It seems Insta has changed to allow posts from computers without using the emulator. Just click Create on your home screen, drag your photo, enter caption, and you are done. I am using CHrome, if that matters.

I am using Firefox. No problemo. See screen captures.
