Title: Shots spacing in focus stacking of the landscape photo

Landscape photo is my interest and would like to know some rule of thumb if any regarding how to determine the proper numbers of shots I should make. It may be depending on the scene to be shot.

I would recommend Focus Stacker by George Douvos. It is an iOS ap.

Thank you. I am not sure if my lens, Batis, gives me accurate distance reading and the review says it will not allow me to change f stops.

I use Affinity Photo on windows and just kind of eyeball the stack, which I'm still trying to perfect.
It doesn't look quite right if I skimp and/or do not stop down enough.
The number of images required will depend on your DOF of course, so that varies.
