This first shot is where my post-processing skills were tested a little more than usual. This a combination of HDR in LR, 2 shots for the foreground and 3 shots for the middle and background, and focus stack in PS. I tried to play with the luminosity to make it look more realistic and closer to how I felt it was at that time.
It is still a partial failure at some extent as I had planned it as a 3 plane focus stack, foreground - middle ground - background, but both the middle shots and the background are focused similarly. It gives ok sharpness in the foreground and middle ground, almost ok on the mountains but not as much on the moon.
Overall I feel it is still acceptable not too have the moon that sharp as the photo is more about the mood than details but I wish I had the option of sharpness everywhere if I went through this trouble to start with.
The second shot is "bread and butter" HDR in LR with the focus on foreground.
All of these were shot with a Fuji X-T2 and the 55-200 3.5-4.8 @ 200mm (300 equiv) therefore the need to use focus stacking
PS. I probably could have gotten close by using a focus stack from the properly exposed foreground and the underexposed background and not using any HDR

As a side note for whatever it's worth the second picture got much more positive feedback than the first when shown to non-photographers (aka facebook). For myself I will print the first one ;D
Few others from the area until the moon came up. Overall windy as hell, for the moonlit ones I was lucky to be somehow protected by a large rock wall.
