Title: 355mm G-Claron or 360mm Apo-Ronar
Post by: FL at CC on February 01, 2018, 09:12:46 pm
Hey guys, I'm just wanting a few opinions for a really nice still life lens. From what I've heard the G-Claron and Apo-Ronar are both truly brilliant for higher magnification. As I'm wanting to do more or less 1:2 and 1:1 still life on my 10x8, which would be a better solution - 355mm G-Claron or 360mm Apo-Ronar? In terms of overall rendering and handling magnification? Image circle isn't a deal breaker in this case as I'm always either shooting people for portraiture or editorial-esque fashion. :)

Keen to see what everyone says!

If you're shooting color film, the APO lens will have an edge.
