An amazing feat of nature in that a female Anhinga with a neck diameter of about 3 inches (at rest) can swallow whole a fish with a girth at least twice that size...but they do it, though it took this gal the better part of a half hour from the pick to tail down.
Been remodeling a house on a lake and time has not been in my favor to do much shooting...and yeah, it's going to be a bird :o

Around a decade ago a friend and I watched a young blue heron ~25 feet away from us at my fav local park attempt to swallow a large frog. After a good 20 minutes the bird gave up and flew off. Not long afterward an adult heron swooped down, plucked the (now dead) frog out of the water and gulped it straight down. :)
