Title: LED replacements for modelling lamps
Post by: BobShaw on December 22, 2017, 11:40:41 pm
Hi,

Has anyone used any LED lamps to replace halogen modelling lamps?
If so what worked and didn't, please?

Specifically,
Has anyone seen or used an LED replacement light for the Osram 64516 used as modelling lights in Elinchrom studio pack heads?
(These are 240V globes and similar 110V globes are used in the US)

I want to have an ideally 5000K replacement that dims.

The other option is to replace the Halogen 12V globe 23044 in the Ranger RX heads

Bob

I have tried searching as well, but no one seems to make LEDs in a halogen-sized form factor that is compatible with strobes. All the bulbs I've seen so far are either the typical screw base or track lighting replacement.

Just bouncing this to the top again as things change so rapidly with LED options.

there are certainly Gx6.35 base, 110V, LED bulbs and a lot of them...

PS: there also adapters like G4 to G*6.35 and then there are G4 base 110V LED bulbs

Thanks. I will check them out but I need 240V.
