Just got a gfx and trying to find better options than C1.
I know I can change the filenames a little to import them to C1,
But it needs some more time and work. Is Fujifilms own converter
good?

As you know, but I'll state for others reading the thread, the various hacks (which are much more than changing the file name) to trick C1 into opening Fuji GFX files are not something I'd recommend, at least for anyone doing photography professionally or seriously. Some of the reasons:
- They alter the raw file (so you'll need to keep two copies: the out-of-camera version, and the hacked version)
- They add time and complexity to the workflow
- They may stop working in future releases of C1
- Any bugs/crashes/problems you encounter will not be supported
- You still won't have lens corrections
- You'll need to make your own custom ICC profile for best results
- No tethering

These are some of the reason I want to
change software. After 10 years Phase one
is pushing me to change. Smart?
I am sure many converters are good..

It seems logical to me that the people who build the camera and design the raw file would have a pretty good idea how to build a raw file decoder.
There may be limitations on what else this software does but converting raw files should not be one of them.
It is also invariably free.
So when people knock those that use DPP for Canon raw or Phocus for Hasselblad raw they are often just justifying what they do at a higher cost.
Try it for yourself and don't worry too much what others do.
Converting a raw file to a third party file format so that you can use a fourth party software is just silly to me. As already mentioned it complicates and lengthens your processing path. If a software manufacturer chooses not to support my camera then I choose not to use it.

The Fuji converter is a portion of SilkyPix. If SilkyPix does it for you use the whole "suit"; if you check on the Fuji Forum or the GFX FaceBook group I think you will find most people using Lightroom and Photoshop. As another C1 user I am using mostly lightroom for PP.

I have gone back and forth.
I much prefer C1 to LR but didn't care for the additional hassle of converting to DNG, changing the metadata – and I wasn't happy with the profile I'd initially created for the GFX.
Unfortunately the switch to LR – just for the GFX – is also a bit of an inconvenience.
So I created a new profile (which I'm more pleased with) and I'm now trying Iridient's X-Transformer to convert the RAFs to DNGs (the app also allows me to change the metadata camera name at the same time, removing a step).
Let's see how long I'm satisfied with this workflow. :-)

To be clear I'm only using Iridient's DNG converter.
That – along with the ICC profile I created – has made it fairly convenient to use the GFX with Capture One.
I feel comfortable enough using the GFX with this workflow for client work.
