Some new zeiss (ZV) lenses for v series hasselblad have been announced.
Can anyone enlighten me as to the thinking behind this when there are such good similar focal length (zeiss) lenses out already for this system.

I can't work it out. It migh be related to Hasselblad's new camera.
Also, the images are different when you click on the details link.
Perhaps we just need to wait for Photokina!

yes..i am hoping the new camera is simply a hasselblad dslr with a 36 x 36 sensor that takes the h or v series (and therefore these zeiss zv) lenses thus allowing shift with an adapter...hey I can hope!

Just asked on a german Hassy Board, these lenses are probably the old CF(E) lenses in a retro-look. (Schenider and some others did the same thing a while ago).
We'll see if they're cheaper or more expensive. The used market is saturated with mint Hasselblad glass, don't really see who will buy these. V-Sytem users will probably have their lenses already, H sytem users with adapter will want CFE lenses with the electronic databus. Don't know if these Lenses have them. I'm still looking for a nice 180mm, so maybe...Would have loved to see a 35mm V-System;-)

The Zeiss site referenced indicates the lenses are Nikon F mount not Hasy.

Zeiss released information on three Classic lenses for Hasselblad and some new Nikon F mount lenses as well, they just didn't get the pictures right on their website in the overview. As stated above, click on the detail button and you can have a look on some old Cb/Cf-designs in silver "classic" finish.
I hope this will be not all Hasselblad is showing at Photokina as new products

I get the impression this is a Zeiss novelty rather than a Hasselblad led innovation.
