Current trends:
Phones are getting larger, more MP.
MF gear is getting smaller, also more MP.
Is MF to survive w/o phone built in?:)

Hmmm MF with phone?
At the thought my head cinema is just starting ...
We have a very complex job to do. Delivery deadline is tomorrow. How to set up the set for hours, set light and bring the camera in position. The assistants set up the water slides in the set to let the product rush to water while recording. The last brighteners are arranged and I give the assistant a sign so that he can start the water so that I can press exactly the trigger.
And then.....
... the telephone rings, blocks the camera, the set is under water, I did not take a picture and hear the voice of my mother saying. This is mom, am I disturbing you?
These are wonderful future prospects.
I for my part would say MF with phone helps me to an early death. :)
Greeting Gerd

hahahaah:) I almost died laughing:)
Bring it on!

I prefer my large format phone. It's light and can be held by a single person for a couple of minutes. I particularly like the integration with the backpack and the 35" screen.

As long as it has a bad composition blocker feature then I'm good with it!

I have an 8x10 iPad?
Now that's ultra minimalistic - an 8x10 without a handle!
-
But, can you make phone calls on the iPad?
Best regards
Erik

My tea-soaked keyboard resents "the last word" ... :D
Really, very funny - many "wins the internets" prizes today for Jim Kasson and others in the thread.

Of course you can, with Skype, WhatsApp etc., and with a VoIP service, calls can also be received, since calls can be forwarded to almost any WiFi or LTE device.
