A small cliff area nearby, but you either have to be very far away to shoot it or very close. I had to climb up a steep hill through heavy brush to get these shots. Early morning light. Camera pointing almost straight up.
Too weird of an angle?

Too weird of an angle?
No, a very different and interesting perspective! The clouds in combination with the cliff face is what makes the image. I prefer the first one.

Too weird of an angle?
No not weird at all, just different and welcomed. Great colour and texture contrast between the rich warm tones of the rock, the smooth cold blue sky and white highlights of the clouds.
It’s an interesting photograph to look at, and my eye wanders across the rock face, but there’s little to hold my attention for too long, no internal dynamic or story to keep me looking or wondering. But, then again, those are qualities that are rare in most photographs.
Both are well seen and executed. If I had to choose, I would say the first is more compelling.
