Title: Wild sunset over dilapidated farm, Italy
Post by: Vieri Bottazzini on November 14, 2017, 01:13:29 pm
A wild sunset over a dilapidated farm in the Valli di Comacchio, Italy. Shot with the Leica S, Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30-90mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters just before my Leica Akademie Workshop in Comacchio last year.

Diagonals in the sky and land, great light, interesting subject. All the ingredients for a fine shot.

Lovely shot and another proof that it's possible to make great shots in a "flat" land.

Really an interesting shot !

Thank you very much! :)

+1.
Sort of.

:) Yes indeed, the sky was definitely a bit apocalyptic!

Classic Italia!

Well, the Valli di Comacchio are a very distinctive kind of landscapes, resulting from reclaiming land from the sea / river and drying swamps over the centuries; there are perhaps a few places in Italy where you can find such landscapes :)

Thank you very much Paulo, I am glad you enjoyed it! :)

Thank you very much Francois! :) The sky definitely helped here ;)

Best regards,

I always thought it was called a "fiery" sky, but i now realize it is spelled differently: a "vieri" sky...!?

(omg, if my jokes are getting this bad i should really be going out taking pictures.)

:D Oscar, I wish I could have such a sky any time I wanted - if calling it a "vieri" sky would make that happen, then I am in! :D

(nicely avoided commenting on the joke... :) )

Best regards,
