Title: Decent LCD recommendations
Post by: DarkPenguin on September 15, 2006, 03:42:47 pm
I'm not looking for the best.  (I can't afford the best.)  I'd just like a better 19" monitor than my Dell 1905.  Any recommendations?  I like my dell alot but it is just too bright.

$500-600 is about where I top out.  If I could get a 20" for that that was nice that would be super but that isn't a requirement.

Currently looking at the HP LP2065 and the NEC LCD2170NX

Both got very nice reviews at PRAD.de.

I must say that I am very fond of my Samsung 204Ts... Seems to be in your price bracket as well.

Here are my results (http://www.farrarfocus.com/ffdd/blog20060914.htm) calibrating a Samsung 910T. Older, but nice inexpensive display.

Be Hardware (http://www.behardware.com/html/cat/22/) has good reviews of displays with actual calibration results which might help you out.

Thanks for the links.  It is hard to find reviews that actually tell you anything.
