St Ives Bay, Cornwall, England. I probably posted something like this a long time ago but have been revisiting things.
In an effort to remove clutter from a sunset I removed the orange almost completely and desaturated the rest and then lightened everything. Taken about 40 minutes after the sun had set. It may not be reality but is it peaceful and tranquil but still have enough to keep your interest?

I like the desaturated look. Is it just me or is it tilted a tiny bit?

Very pleasing to look at.

For me the colors are pretty perfect. Nice to look at, not boring at all.

It works remarkably well. A technique I might have to try

I lime it, but I think I would also like the "normal"version".

Beautiful pastel colors. I like that it is not 'reality'. I let go of that a while back.

Nice one :)
..and as you have gone for and successfully achieved that sort of pastel look, then why not also try using negative clarity on this image to see where that takes it?
I know someone who does exactly that with his work and it really can look amazing, sort of surreal but real all at the same time.

I agree that it's beautiful, but I'm less than sure that it doesn't reflect reality. I've seen sunsets in England that are very similar.

It's good to know that the sun is sometimes visible even in England. ;D
