Title: Night Sky Workflow
Post by: Mike Dale on October 13, 2017, 10:45:23 am
I’ve been taking night sky pictures up in Acadia NP but I’m not getting the “Milky Way” look that I’m after.

Any advice will be most welcome.

Thanks

Link to the dean of night photography:

Ton of great info.

C1 will do a great job on night skies, but you may need to use a lot of layers (adjustment layers)

Most important is a fast lens, good high ISO, and a lens with little to no coma at least for a wide lens (lens need depends on location)

His tutorial is worth the cost IMO.

Here are a few other resources.

Night Sky Handbook http://www.luminescentphoto.com/eshop/night-sky-handbook/

National Parks at Night http://www.nationalparksatnight.com

You can also check out PhotoPills app and webpage https://www.photopills.com The Photopills site has some really good guides.

Thanks for the links guys.

I should have been more specific in my question.

I am interested more in the post processing aspect of Milky Way photography using C1. I had a link to a tutorial on using Lightroom which was excellent for taking a raw image and making it pop. The link is no longer active. I was hoping for a similar workflow using C1.
