Fairly rare (for my part of the world) dense fog in the morning made for some diffused light and silhouettes.

Coastal prairie South of Houston ?

Beautiful. The first one especially.

Nice mood, well done. Perhaps crop out the right hand side in #1, just right of the sun?

Thought about it - but I think it unbalances the sun to much unfortunately.
Thanks everyone for the nice words :)

I *want* to prefer the second one. I think it ought to be more interesting, and I think that, in the moment, it was the longhorn standing in the mist that made me stop and look further, but it got lost in translation to some extent. Part of it was that I didn't have quite a long enough lens, and the other part is that I think I haven't seen the image full size yet - only on my screen. I'm looking forward to printing these and seeing if my perception changes.
