Title: Posting photos
Post by: Alskoj on September 20, 2017, 08:53:03 pm
Lula newbie here.  How do I post photos to a forum?  Do I link from a photo hosting website like fickr? That's the one I use - is there a better or preferred one?
Or do I upload directly?  I read about the file limits (1202/1201 longside limit?).
I love all the photos I've seen so far.  I don't have any photo friends, much less, ones that understands light, etc.

Thanks!  Joe A

Hi Joe, welcome!

You can easily link from Flickr. You can also upload. To upload, you click on the "Preview" button first, then "Attachments and other options" > "Choose File" etc.

Hello Chris,

This was a bit confusing to me as well. It is easy enough to see the choose button after going through the “Attachments....” link. But after choosing a photo it is not clear what step to take next as there is no attach button. The first time I attached a photo I just took a chance and clicked the “Post” button which automatically attached the photo to the post. But since there is no explanation that it works that way, one is left wondering.

Yes, one does need to take a small leap of faith that attachments are attached since there is no preview of them. Alas, no such preview is available in the forum software.
