Title: Help! "Media type" setting for Canon Artistic Satin Canvas
Post by: Thenolands on September 16, 2017, 12:03:50 pm
Help! Trying to print (with Canon ipf8400)on this canvas but the only option for canvas listed in media type dropdown is "canvas matte". There are no other options for canvas. What should I select for this satin canvas?

Does this setting control matte black vs photo black? Or will my icc profile override with the correct black?

Somehow my media configuration tool was not up to date. Once I updated, I found the media setting. However, I ran a test print using this media setting, canon's icc profile and selecting "glossy" in Lightroom print module (I used no brightness or contrast adjustments). See how washed out it looks below compared to the same image printed using red river pro satin4.0 luster paper with their default profile . I was thinking about contacting inkjetart for a custom profile for the canvas. Any other ideas or is this the best route?
