Title: Lochan
Post by: Dave (Isle of Skye) on September 16, 2017, 11:14:27 am
From a few days ago  :)

If you want to look at the image full screen so you can see the details more clearly (I'm thinking Rob C here, who I knows has complained more than once about how to do this  ;), then left click on the image to load it in full, then right click on this bigger image and select 'View Image' from the drop down menu that appears, then press your F11 key for full screen mode. Then when you are finished and want to get back to your normal viewing mode, press the F11 key once again and then select your browser's back button).

I seem to be getting ever more into shooting for the square format and also abstract black and white work, it just seems more satisfyingly 'artistic' somehow  ;D

I very much like this approach, Dave, paring the scene down to some fascinating details; it's almost cryptic. I do feel the view includes too many of the out-focus lily pads (?) in the top 15% of the frame. With just a few at the top, I find it strengthens the presentation of the repetitive verticals (of what appears to be a scouring rush), but that's just me. Great work!!

Thanks muchly, if I can get a thumbs up from you guys then I know I must be doing something right  :)

Sorry I can't hang around long, but the wife is away for the night and there's a full gin bottle in the corner that keeps winking at me and I have just put my old Sabbath bootleg live on at FULL for my neighbours enjoyment as well ;)

Here is a link to a review of this legendary double album bootleg - Sabbath Asbury Park 1975 (http://100greatestbootlegs.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/87-black-sabbath-asbury-park-nj-1975.html) which you can still find on-line if you dig around somewhere like here (http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90/black-sabbath-1975-08-05-asbury-park-nj-complete-show-excellent-63424.html), but here is a taster from youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdZBU7pqKJA) and you can buy a legitimate but slightly modified version of it here on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Live-In-Asbury-Park-1975/dp/B00YXE46VI).

oh and remember to turn your system up to 11  ;D

Cheers!

Yes I agree, I think the bigger the better for this one.

Thanks again everyone  :)
