First day of Autumn so up at 4:30 to go and photograph what promised to be a soft and colourful sunrise. Just as dawn was breaking clouds started to form on the horizon and ended any hope of a spectacular sunrise. It was still wonderful to be standing beside this small Tarn watching the mist drift across it. I have deliberately produced a soft image, perhaps as an antidote to the "Bow Fiddle Rock" images that I have been working on. More to follow, probably. Ken

Wonderful! Beautiful palette.
-
Very nice muted tones with genuine colour.
-
Very beautiful, I like the softer more pastel look.

Lives up to the "blue hour" label. A 7 shot panorama showing the entire tarn. I was still hoping that the hills would get lit up by the rising sun but it didn't happen. Ken

Love the panoramic!

I also love the panoramic but prefer the first one, the light is warmer which is always good in foggy mornings.

I like the first pano!

Very pleasing! I like the soft hues, and prefer the last photo.

Gorgeous photos, well seen and captured, Ken!
I particularly like the “letterbox” panorama - the warmer version is stunning, although your first version is equally excellent and really captures the cold blue of early morning. Now I don’t know which one I prefer, so I won’t choose!
