I have never seen this before and can't open the file.
Does anyone have a possible solution?

I have had _some_ success "recovering" corrupted jpgs with various utilities. You may have one or access to one if you've purchased an SD card. Or you can try a photo recovery utility from the Internet (carefully, plz). Also try this - try to open that file as a multi channel file with Photoshop. But first try to make a copy of the file to work on.

I’ve seen something like this when a .psd file was accidentally renamed to a .tif file and vice versa. Weird circumstance that happened with an auto renaming utility.
