That's really a great Rockumentary, really worth getting wasted to watch and listen.

A fascinating and very complex guy. When I was a little dude one of the songs my mom liked singing to me was Chuck's Havana Moon. Not knowing from alcohol I imagined rum tasted something like caramel syrup.  :D  Which isn't that far off when it comes to the good stuff…

Yeah, got it on an LP...

I saw him doing a gig in Glasgow some many years ago; he was great - the audience would have eaten out of his hand. Then he blew it all away: wouldn't come out for an encore. Not one.

I so wished he hadn't ever recorded Ding a ling, though... probably made money, but did he need to do crap like that by then?

As you say, complex! Miss him.
