Despite growing up on the east coast, and traveling regularly between DC and ATL, I had somehow never made it to Savannah. My wife had work there last week, so I came along, and it was one of the most fascinating places I've ever visited. This is a shot of the (admittedly very touristy) waterfront area, which isn't near as cool as the southern historic district, but it the sternwheeler river boat was neat. I took lots of images, but this is probably the most "accessible" for now. More to come!

Well done.
Were you standing on a restaurant balcony for the shot?

Thanks! No, hotel room balcony. I shot a few hundred images in two days, but having spent most of my (photographic) time west of the Mississippi or in NY/DC, it was a different kind of shooting for me.

very nice, I've been to Savannah several times and I'm trying to picture where you are to make that shot. Great looking image.

Thanks John - It was a truly wonderful city. I told my wife I'd move there tomorrow :)
I shot the thread image from the top floor of the Westin across the river - this image illustrates it a bit better.
