I really like the atmospherics, James, but unfortunately the walker -- if that's the walker down there on the shore -- looks a lot like a post. You really needed to get his head and shoulders into the sky so it's clear that's a human.

Agreed - that would be ideal..  Sadly, in the color version there's good differentiation between the person and the land, but when the contrast comes up the differentiation goes away.

That's the trouble with street photography, or in this case beach photography. Sometimes -- no, let's say "often" -- no, let's say "more often than not" -- things just don't work out. It can be damned frustrating.

Another thing always worth a try is to admit you blew it and move on. If you'd like to talk to somebody with vast experience in that approach, talk to me. You always can go back to a beach and try to re-shoot the picture.
