Title: Color checker passport, is it working now for the Pentax 645Z ?
Post by: zobelaudio on June 28, 2017, 07:18:50 am
Hi,
has anybody checked, if they updated the Software to work with big files, like from the 645Z ?
I used to work with it and it really helped with skintones for the D810, but since it did not work with the big sensor of the Pentax, I stopped using it.
I am loading the update right now (1.1.1) and will report
cheers

Hmm, they did finally update the CCPassport software - amazing!

Here's what the X-Rite site says:
"New in release 1.1.0
Compatible with Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 6.1
Support for DNG images larger than 40mb
New in release 1.1.1
Addition Korean Language support"

Sounds like it will handle 645z files, maybe Nikon D810 & Sony Alpha as well. They have removed the old site's central software downloads page though, so you really have to poke around to find the current d/l.

BTW, I'll probably have to try it just to satisfy my curiosity, but right now Lumariver Profile Designer is working great for me. Nice results right away for my 654z, next up are Canon & Fuji...

with dcamprof ( free ) or LrPD, mentioned above, ( paid ) there is a little reason to bother with X-Rite own software ...

It definitely works with 50MP files from Canon 5DSr so 645Z should be fine.
