Title: Color space profile in LR
Post by: lewipix on August 18, 2006, 04:14:23 am
Hi all,

Windows Xp/LR beta3

LR does not appear to have selectable color profiles as per ACR.Is this true?

When a file is subsequently opened in PSCS2 the profile shows as photoproRGB which I vaguely understand is a "large color space" meant for printing pics.I gather sRGB is best (for whatever reason) for web destined pics.

If so, what is the suggested workfow for producing jpegs for the web?

Thanks

You can export the files in one of three working spaces (including sRGB).

I may be wrong but when exported the sidecar info with all edit information is no longer seen anywhere outside LR.In other words may as well bypass LR and go straight to PS for a jpeg or ACR/PS for Raw?

The Web feature defaults to sRGB as the profile for the jpgs.

For printing, any properly installed printer profile is usable.
