Title: Alerts to new topics in forums I follow
Post by: Jeffrey Saldinger on May 11, 2017, 04:48:25 pm
Over the past few days I've received three LuLa emails of the sort I received today:  "A new topic, 'Adobe Photography Subscription Survey Regarding New Subscription Pricing', has been made on a board you are watching."

This is the first time in the few years I've been part of LuLa that I've received such notices (i.e., using the word "board"; the other alerts I've received are for new postings to threads on which I've asked to be notified).  The new topic is indeed on a board I regularly look at.

I'd value an explanation of why this new form of email has been coming to me.  I've gotten into the habit of regularly taking a quick look at six or seven subject areas to see what's new there anyway, but these sorts of new topic alerts are new to me.

Thanks for the help.

Likely you inadvertently hit the Notify button at the top of the topic.

There should be a link in the email to turn those notifications off

Thank you, Chris.  I was indeed unaware one could "subscribe" to a whole board.

With appreciation...
