It must have been one of those calm, windless days you find so often in Iceland to park that close to the edge.

My friend Börkur got me there. There's no way I would have attempted the steep grade on the rough route to the top of the mountain. A few months ago a car rolled over (http://icelandreview.com/news/2016/06/02/tourist-seriously-injured-after-car-rollover) during an attempt.
