Title: epson 3800 capping station
Post by: Paull on March 24, 2017, 11:43:58 am
Hello,

The capping station just broke loose in my 3800 after a manual clean and during a power clean. I probably nudged it during the manual clean. Thought there were crunching sounds before I got the 1127 service message, I don't believe there was physical damage, but I'm not sure. I cant seem to get it secured in place again so I am wondering if some catches have broken off.

Has any one re-postioned one of these before? if so, here is my question.

The station has two pins on the left side ( facing printer) that appear to slide under a white ( bottom) and black ( top ) ledge while maintaining a level position. The right side has no pins but four angled arms, two in each right hand corner and two along the right side, ( I have a picture if it is possible to attach to postings).

I can't figure out how the right side secures which makes me think something broke off.

Is there a trick to this I am not seeing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Paul
