Title: Azores in October?
Post by: Ulf on August 03, 2006, 05:28:45 am
Hi,

I'm thinking about going to the Azores in late october. I can see that the weather can be a bit mixed though still warm so that side of things should be ok.. but I'm wondering how the possibilities for photography is this time of year? Are there any birds on migration at this time, are the whales around all year?

So basically it boils down to.. should I go in Octover or better wait until spring?

cheers, Ulf

The airline pricess are great. Yes, the whales & dolphins will be there but if the water is rough you won't get anyone to take you out to them. I'm not sure about migratory birds so check on the birding sites. As for the weather, if you don't like it wait for 30 minutes. The Portuguese saying is there four seasons in every day in the Azores.
