Compelling scene, but the light's a little flat and I wouldn't crop to 8x10 to eliminate some of the bottom frame ;)

Hi David, The flat light's essential. I've shot along this path under various lighting conditions, and when there's bright sun much of the texture in the trees is lost. Best light is what's here: light overcast. As far as cropping is concerned, I cropped in the camera. If I cut the bottom of the picture I lose too much of the trail itself. It's a call shot, and that's my call.
