This shot was taken at the Balu ke Gera camp site on the Hampta Pass trek route in Himachal Pradesh in India on August 1 2016. After a hike of a few hours we pitched tent by the banks of this beautiful stream that fed a river downstream. Putting my Nikon D7100 on a tripod with a Tamron 16-300 mm lens, I stood by, taking in the quiet beauty of the landscape, and the sound of the water. I had turned 50 that day, and I could not have asked for a better place to be on my milestone day.
