Just noticed: I could always buy myself a replacement ponytail! The one I have is ever thinner and will, should the rest of me last that long, vanish completely, leaving nowhere for the rubber band to grip. I suppose one would then clip the replacement onto the back of a bandana or the strap of a baseball cap.
