Title: Canon Pro 1000 ink streaks
Post by: Ludwig Nobel on January 28, 2017, 05:35:14 pm
When printing A2 on my Canon Pro 1000, I get small streaks of black ink on one border (upper left or right, seen from output tray). I'm not printing borderless, but with a border of 3 to 4 cm.
When printing smaller formats, no problems. Paper used is Canson Platine Fibre Rag.
Any suggestions what to look for or printer settings I could change?

usually, something like that indicates the paper thickness adjustment may be slightly too small or the paper has some edge curl.

Try in the printer driver: Main --> Media Type --> Advanced Settings --> Print Head Height --> Avoid Paper Abrasion

Feeding the paper from the manual tray and choosing Avoid Paper Abrasion solved my problem.
I also made sure the paper was not curled at the edges, perhaps that helped too.
Thanks for your helpful input.
