Title: Wacom tablet and brush tool problem in PS CC 2017
Post by: Rob Reiter on January 24, 2017, 02:41:04 pm
I didn't have this problem in the past, but some time over the last upgrade or two, or perhaps due to some option I selected/deselected accidentally, I cannot find a setting in the Brush Panel in Photoshop that turns off brush size reacting to pen pressure. I only want opacity to respond to brush pressure, but Shape Dynamics always opts to vary brush size, as well as opacity, with pen pressure.

Any suggestions as to how I should set the brush preferences to avoid size changes?

Check these brush controls to see if you have inadvertently activated them - especially the size control (the target looking button) -  (see screenshot).

Thanks, E.J. Trashing PS preferences did the trick, although it's possible I had accidentally selected the Tool Option icon for overriding the Brush Panel setting. Errant mouse clicks have been known to happen! But re-doing Preferences also fixed a problem I was having the Select and Mask panel, as well.

Yeah that's always the first thing to try when PS suddenly doesn't behave the way it did before.
