I just wrote my second email this month to Kyocera making my displeasure felt at the cessation of production of Contax in conjunction with the non-release of the brand. Bad combination.
I know they probably won't resume production but they could at least relinquish the rights to the brand.
Anyway, I'm not sure what the best address to write to is. Anyone know?
I'll keep letting them know that I won't be buying any Kyocera products until they do so

The brand belongs to Carl Zeiss, Kyocera own the manufacturing rights for the Contax camras.

Ok, that's is probably true so they should relinquish the right to manufacture.

I understand that Zeiss is presently in japanese court with Kyocera on this very issue of relinquishing the manufacturing rights for Contax.

Oh, this is news to me! If that is so it should be a matter of public record. Can anyone confirm?

Carry on, Don Quixote! As a Contax owner, I admire your fighting spirit, but what are you going to hold over them, bankruptcy?

I am wondering what Zeiss will do with Contax 645 if they do win the court case against Kyocera. With Velvia during those days without digital capture, and then P25 and now P45, I am more happier with Contax 645 as the day goes!

Not sure what you meant by that
I certainly wouldn't want to compel them to resume production, but I would like to see another company given the chance if they feel they can do it profitably.
