Hi,
I'm interested if anyone can recommend some good mosaic generating software, by which I mean a program that lets you input a library of pictures and then generates one big image composed of this library...I've worked with some crappy tools that never provided really high quality images.
Then I'm also interested if anyone can point out some panoramic stiching software (besides the well known PTGUI and clones, both free and software).
Many thanks and greetings from Luxembourg

i know of two programs called Mosaic Creator and Easy Photo Mosaic Maker that just do this job.
there's also a program called PhotoSuite 4 by MGI group which cna create mosaic photos (one of its many features). but since Roxio aquired MGI i'm not sure if this program is still available. Roxio does have PhotoSuite 8 but it doesn't seem to have this feature.

Thanks, I'll have a look

Hello Charles,
Besides PTGui which i think is the best for high quality flat stitches, Realvis Stitcher 5.0 is another interesting stitching package, although it really excels at quicktime more than at flat stitches.
Regards,
Bernard

I use Panorama Factory, quite happy with the results.

I'd give Panorama Maker 4 a shot - it is a very basic program, but it does a fantastic job with even hand held panoramas - there is a free trial. What it doesn't have is much control, but quite honestly it doesn't seem to need it. (note it does not do mosaic joins.)
