Morning light after cold night!
Thierry
-
Both very fine images, especially the first one.
-
Number two for me: classic.
-
The second image is a beauty. Where was this taken?
-
They're both quite lovely.
I wish I could get up as early as you do, but we seldom get light that night here in the morning.

I’ll tell you how the Sun rose —
A Ribbon at a time —
The Steeples swam in Amethyst —
The news, like Squirrels, ran —
The Hills untied their Bonnets —
The Bobolinks — begun —
Then I said softly to myself —
“That must have been the Sun”!
But how he set — I know not —
There seemed a purple stile
That little Yellow boys and girls
Were climbing all the while —
Till when they reached the other side,
A Dominie in Gray —
Put gently up the evening Bars —
And led the flock away —
That's Emily Dickinson. Today is her birthday. :D
Thumbs up on both photos, #2 in particular.

Thanks for that reminder, Dave.
Happy Birthday, Emily!
-
Both wonderful captures - made me shiver in sympathy (I live in sunny and hot Queensland, Australia).
If I had to choose I would go with #2 as a better composition.

No. 2 is both beautiful and classical. Well done.
-
Beautiful results for a morning stroll. I especially like the second one but the first shot is also pleasing with the frost that outlines the trail.
-
Thanks to all, especially Dave for the appropriate poem.
Rajan, the 2nd was taken near Rondehaie, Tancrémont, East Belgium.

I apologize for being late to the party, but I too like the second one, and greatly appreciate the poem. Cheers!
-
Thanks Bob.

I'm also a fan of them both. As for elements, backlit frosty grass is a favorite. But compositionally I prefer the second. Lots to like either way.

1 my fave.
Excellent management of the difficult against-sun situation, and very good for my tastes.
all the best,
