Last rays of sunlight at Uluru in the Northern Territory of Australia. This shot was on a day when the sun only appeared under the cloud for a few minutes at sunset.

I was prepared to be underwhelmed by the "Rock" when I visited given the hype. It is a majestic thing that dominates the landscape as does it's nearby Kata Tjuta.
You've captured one of its many moods.
Why didn't you leave it until the sun had completely left it? We have an expression for the light that appears on the horizon just after the sun sets: the rock is rarely grabbed there. I wish I had but dinner beckoned.

Many thanks for all the positive comments. I like testing-the-water on here with new images as I find the feedback is fair and constructive.
one iota, I also was prepared to be underwhelmed. This site was not perfect but just OK. There are not many decent vantage points around Uluru where you can freely walk, drive and set up a tripod. I shared this location with around 200 to 300 others. The tripod was on the roof of my 4WD camper with the camera running shooting a sequence over about two hours while I was cooking on a small stove.
During my two month trip (7,200 KM driving) around Australia, a number of hyped locations were very disappointing. I am glad to have had the experience of Australia but I won't go back. With the collapse in the value of the GBP Australia is very expensive country for brits to visit.
