Title: Fujinon 56mm 1.2 Aperture Ring Question
Post by: Beerfueled on December 01, 2016, 09:59:19 pm
I received a new 56mm 1.2 lens today, to go with an X-T2 that is currently on backorder. It seems like it is a very nice lens, but I notice that the aperture ring will actually turn just a little past the A (end) stop, and even stay there. (The ring also stops right at A.) Without the camera on hand to test this, I'm unable to know whether this will have any impact on any settings chosen by the camera. For example, would the camera have difficulty determining the appropriate aperature using this mode? I would appreciate hearing anyone's thoughts or own experiences regarding this.

By the way, I also received the (lovely) 23mm 1.4, and it stops right at "A".

Thank you.

Made me look. I think I see what you are talking about. Mine has no issues, and yes, the 23 has a more satisfying ring. Now come to think of, I'm not sure I shot much if any in shutter priority mode.

Made me look, too. Mine does the same thing.

Good to hear, thanks for your replies. I'm looking forward to trying on those lenses, once the camera does arrive.

I have shot a lot of assignments with just those two lenses. Hope you enjoy them.
