Three from today's wanderings
-
Really fine, all three.
My current favorite is the first.
-
#1:
If a tree starts falling in the forest, and there's no one to see it, does it really hit the ground? :)
Very metaphoric and atmospheric. A nice use of diagonals, not easy with trees.

It took me ages to push it over into the right position :-)
-
Well, it was worth it Bill. Fine stuff.
-
I agree with Slobodan.
-
Nicely done - both light and compositions.
-
Gorgeous photographs, Bill. Those trees are dancing, particularly in the second and third.

And the main tree in the first was trying to dance, but stubbed its toe. :D

Strong man. Better not argue with you.
Fine shot.

Love the juxtaposition of white snow and orange-brown leaves against the dark of the tree limbs and trunks. Mist dancing trees, well that's a bonus. You must be Druid.

Just superb, especially the first.
-
Very much like the first.
-
Thanks all for the positive comments. I've decided the first one is getting printed & going on the wall. Seems fair.
-
Splendid, Bill. The first two are especially very strong.
-
Finally got around to a monochrome processing.
-
Both versions are excellent, Bill. But after going back and forth a number of times, I think I would give the nod to color here.

+1

The B&W version is stunning, but I have to agree with Arlen and Russ.
-
I like the second image best. The lines of the tree branches look as if they were stylized by an illustrator for effect. Mesmerizing.

I feel that the leaning tree and copper leaves compete for attention, so the b&w is better.
But #2 and 3 are my favorites. Good catches.

It was something I noticed as I composed the shot. A move too far around to the right, and that line of snow on the foreground trees was lost. Move back again & suddenly there was that outline. Had the snowfall been heavier, and had a thaw not already set in, it would have looked very different. Yeah I know, obviously, but I don't think the effect would have been as pronounced.

As would I, but not without much thought.

I really like the first image of the fallen tree and the way it makes me look around the scene, and I like it even more in mono.
Nice work Bill.

Yes, I think in this instance, the colour works best. Then again ....
-
Lovely work.

All three look good to me but my favorite by far is the second one.

in the pano, upon opening it, i was intensely drawn to what looks like a foggy valley on the far left... "what's down there?" i wondered. maybe a 9:5 crop starting on that side to the edge of the road? all three wonderful though!
