... took my wife and I on a couple of Bruce Trail hikes to places we hadn't been to before: Metcalfe Rock and Duncan Crevice one day and Nottawasaga Bluffs on the second. Beautiful light and the last splash of colour. Here are a few... there are more over at Flickr (https://www.flickr.com/photos/luxborealis/).

Nice ones, Terry.
Curiously, the first one brought to my mind Etruscan roads in Tuscany, carved out of the hills.

I like the textures and colours in #2. Sure, grand views are grand, but so are some details.

I really enjoy these, Terry. I especially like the third one. The muted colors of the object tree really signal the end of Autumn and the beginning of winter.

+1... it was reminiscent of one of the 'feet' of the tree people from Lord of The Rings...

I really like the care you have taken with the compositions

The bashful Beech in the quiet wood, somewhat hiding out here among your lovely and lush mosses and lichens...but the staccato as she beckons you to draw more near is unmistakable. Love when trees become music and song...really like this one; reminds me to pause and listen to the performance often. Too easily we pass them by.

nice set. My favourite is #3.

Funny you should write this as I couldn't agree more! In fact, after I hit "Post", I contemplated changing the title, but I got sucked into the populist mindset - the same mindset I rail against every time a weather forecaster adopts a negative tone for when rain or snow are predicted!
"There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing."

Right on!
Thank you, Peter and Terry.

Terry these are lovely images! Love hiking with my better half and discovering new things. The weather here in Utah is still good...too good with blue, boring skies!

Well done. It looks like a wonderful place to take a hike.
-
Terry, these are beautiful vignettes. I would single out the first two for special love.
